Join us for a Potluck Iftar on the Day of Ashura – Saturday, July 5

Ashura occurs on the 10th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar. The day of Ashura holds a great significance in Islam as a day of remembrance and devotion

It is recommended to fast on the day of Ashura and either the day before or the day after. This year, Ashura falls on Saturday, July 5. Fasting on Ashura is a way to seek forgiveness and strengthen one’s faith.

Join other members of the community at 8:30 pm at our Downtown Bethesda location to break the fast and read Maghrib prayer together. Please bring a dish to share.
