Quran Classes For Children

Quran Recitation and Memorization for ages 4 – 16

We aim to provide a holistic Islamic education tailored to each individual’s level of age and understanding. This helps your child to become fluent in reciting the Quran. Classes are offered at the MIIC Downtown Bethesda location on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Classes are followed by Dhuhr prayer. Enrolment is ongoing throughout the year. Register here

General curriculum includes

  • Arabic as a language
  • Qaidah, Recitation and Memorization of the Holy Quran
  • Salah – Proper Performance of Prayers
  • Dua, Hadith and their meanings
  • Stories of the Prophets
  • Islamic etiquette, manners and values

Beginner Level

The beginner level includes recognition, writing and pronunciation of the Arabic letters and words. This will enable students to read the verses of the Holy Quran.


 

Intermediate Level

The intermediate level provides students with the skills to read and recite the Holy Quran with Tajweed independently and memorize at least half of the last Juz.

We also offer students at an advanced level the opportunity to memorize the entire Quran
