The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World. By Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu (Nobel Peace Prize Laureates)
This is an opportunity to get to know members of Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church (BHPC), Bethesda Jewish Congregation (BJC), and Maqaame Ibrahim Islamic Center (MIIC) better by reading and discussing a book about a timely subject. The authors share wisdom on finding joy amid suffering, offering eight pillars and daily practices for lasting happiness. Suffering is inevitable but how we respond to that suffering is our choice. Not even oppression or occupation can take away this freedom to choose our response.
