Announcing the MIIC Youth Leadership Council

MIIC is launching the Youth Leadership Council — a team of youth (ages 11–18) who will help design, plan, and lead our youth programming in five key areas:

• Islamic Education – make learning fun and spiritually uplifting
• Community-Building – create spaces of friendship and belonging
• Community Service – live your values through action
• College & Career Prep – help youth prepare for the future
• Interfaith Engagement – build understanding across communities

Members will commit to weekly meetings (minimum 2 hours, including prep time) for at least one leadership term (typically three months, though the first term will be two months). This is a rare leadership opportunity that not only strengthens skills in teamwork, communication, and event planning, but also stands out on college and scholarship applications. Student service learning hours will be awarded for all activities.
