ICPC Interfaith Book Discussion

The Nights Are Quiet in Tehran by Shida Bazyar.

The book follows an Iranian family from Iran to Germany, during the years 1979–2009. Their journey goes from Tehran to Germany to Tehran and back to Germany, from revolution to exile and back to revolution.

Originally written in German, it was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize in 2026. The work was translated by Ruth Martin. Though the book is about an Iranian family, their adjustments and difficulties are universal.

Read the book and come prepared to share your thoughts with other members of BHPC, BJC, and MIIC at 6601 Bradley Blvd. This is an in-person event only.
