We are collecting food and monetary donations for Thanksgiving. This year we will make donations to the National Center for Children and Families in Bethesda, Faith Presbyterian Church in Anacostia and A Wider Circle. You may donate $25 gift cards from Giant or make a direct financial contribution payable to Maqaame Ibrahim Islamic Center with “Thanksgiving Drive” as the memo. Non-perishable food items can be donated directly to MIIC at the Downtown Bethesda location or Jumu’ah location or get them delivered through our Amazon wish list. Learn more here
Service will be held in the Main Sanctuary. Brunch will be offered in Memorial Hall.
Youth in middle and high school can participate in a Thanksgiving service project on November 10 to sort and assemble the Thanksgiving baskets. They can join us to deliver the baskets to family in Anacostia in SW DC on Saturday, November 16th from 8:30 am to 12 noon. SSL hours available! More information available here
